Catastrophe Insight

The Catastrophe Insight portal draws on the aggregated data of Aon Benfield’s Impact Forecasting team and is designed to be an easily accessible source of useful information on natural catastrophe events worldwide. It contains ten years of economic and insured catastrophe loss data across nine categories of natural peril, and is updated frequently by Impact Forecasting’s meteorologists. Visitors to the website can compare losses across all categories of natural peril or sort the data by individual peril and download the resultant chart or line graph. The site also contains lists of the top 10 annual economic losses and insured losses for 2002-2012. The portal is free to access, but if the data is reproduced, we ask that the following note is used: “Source:  Impact Forecasting”. The website is continually updated, so please sign-up for news alerts to receive information on new functionality.
